The A J Way range incorporates models of high seat and riser recliner chair with drop down armrests to facilitate sideways transfer to and from a wheelchair. Our Shetland Porter Chair enables a sitter to be moved in their chair minimising the need for tranfers.

Distributors and healthcare professionals are welcome to visit our factory in High Wycombe by appointment for comprehensive training and to see the care taken to produce our solid, well-designed quality British furniture. We have a full wood mill and take each chair right through the manufacturing process from planks of wood to finished product.

Most A J Way chairs may be fitted with a ProBax™ cushion. ProBax™ is an innovative foam-based seating technology which aims to support & tilt the pelvis very subtly thus allowing the spine to adopt its natural ‘S’-shaped lordotic curve which may improve seated posture and circulation.

Most A J Way chairs may be fitted with a variety of integral pressure care cushions which help redistribute user weight over the widest possible area. For those at risk of developing a pressure ulcer professional advice should always be sought from a tissue viability nurse.
