A.J.Way's Shetland Drop Arm Chair has proved a real winner. Both arms lift up, out and down in a simple but effective action to allow side transfer to a wheelchair. Dropping the arms of a chair also allows easier access for hoist slings or medical equipment. Drop arm chairs may also be helpful for nursing mothers.
